Our client, a leading Life Sciences company, is hiring a Packaging Equipment Maintenance Specialist.

Work Location: Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Summary:

This role focuses on the hands-on setup, adjustment, troubleshooting, and repair of packaging machinery in a regulated production environment. The position is ideal for mechanically skilled professionals with experience maintaining and repairing packaging equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical setup, troubleshooting, and repairs on packaging equipment such as blister machines, bottle fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, induction sealers, and desiccant inserters.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure optimal operation of all assigned packaging machinery.
  • Execute equipment changeovers for different product formats and document all setup parameters accurately.
  • Independently identify and resolve mechanical issues as they arise during production.
  • Maintain compliance with all batch records, standard operating procedures, and validation protocols.
  • Ensure cleanliness and correct assembly of equipment according to approved procedures and guidelines.
  • Adhere to cGMP, FDA regulations, and data integrity standards at all times.
  • Promptly report any accidents, unsafe conditions, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a packaging mechanic in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food/beverage, cosmetics, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot, set up, and repair packaging machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of pneumatics, sensors, conveyors, and machine timing.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, cleanroom, or GMP environments.
  • Ability to accurately complete maintenance documentation and equipment logbooks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
