Job Title: Assembler (Part-Time)

Work Location: Middlesex County, MA

Summary:

The Assembler will be working in a clean room manufacturing environment with small components and performing the assembly and inspection of devices. Candidates must have the ability to follow and comprehend written and verbal work instructions, the ability to utilize hand tools, and willingness to be trained. Individuals will be utilizing a microscope to perform assembly during the majority of the day and must be comfortable working independently and in a dynamic, team-based environment to reach common objectives with aggressive schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products.
  • Operates production equipment.
  • Perform related calibration and maintenance duties as required by supervisor.
  • Operate laboratory equipment including pipettes, balances, pH meters, centrifuges, etc. in a safe and effective manner.
  • Work with Supervisor and Production Technicians to perform routine laboratory tasks.
  • Weighs, measures, and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities.
  • Creates solutions, powders, and liquids for batches to meet specifications.
  • Assists with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications.
  • Responsible for validating processes and equipment. Responsible for the removal and disposal of waste chemicals and solvents.
  • Provides support to the lead/supervisor when necessary.
  • Provides continuous improvement recommendations and/or solutions to support overall operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or a Technical Certification.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Strong time management skills required.
  • Ability to operate independently.
  • Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic.
