Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Work Location: Bergen County, New Jersey

Summary:

The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for manufacturing quality medical devices and research products that are safe and effective. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the manufacturing process and can support the strategic and operational objectives of the business. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of professionalism, maturity, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with products in a clean room environment
• Manufacture a variety of different products in accordance with batch records, learning all processes from start to finish
• Prepare different chemical solutions
• Maintain and calibrate instruments and equipment in accordance with schedules
• Maintain accurate batch records, log books, and electronic records
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system
• Maintain inventory of raw materials and supplies needed in manufacturing
• Clean and maintain clean rooms
• Monitor environmental conditions
• Recommend, write, or revise manufacturing processes

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0-2+ years’ experience preferably in medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry
• Experience in GMP, ISO, and FDA controlled environments preferred
• Experience with blending, granulation, compression, and coating processes is desirable, but not required
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must have a steady work history
• Reason independently and work with minimal guidance
• Must possess organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Adapts to changing priorities and schedules
• Basic computer skills are required
