Our client, a leading Life Sciences company, is hiring a Scientific Biochemistry Consultant.

Summary:
This role focuses on providing expert scientific evaluation and communication for a wound care product in the antimicrobial category. The consultant will analyze and compare chemical mechanisms, develop educational and scientific content, and support product differentiation in a competitive market.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of wound cleanser and gel formulations, focusing on sodium hypochlorite chemistry and comparison with competitor products using hypochlorous acid.
- Review and interpret scientific literature, internal data, and publications to assess product efficacy, safety, and clinical relevance.
- Develop and author white papers, scientific manuscripts, and technical documents to support product positioning.
- Create educational materials, including animations, explainer videos, slide decks, and training resources for diverse audiences.
- Present scientific findings through webinars, customer education sessions, and internal training events.
- Serve as a scientific spokesperson, translating complex chemistry into accessible messaging for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather product data and provide expert guidance on scientific claims and messaging strategies.
- Support poster or podium presentations at industry conferences or trade shows, with minimal travel as needed.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field (PhD strongly preferred; MS with significant experience considered).
- Experience with scientific publications, manuscript writing, and peer-reviewed research.
- Proven ability to conduct literature reviews and interpret complex data.
- Strong understanding of chemical mechanisms, especially in antimicrobial or wound care applications.
- Exceptional scientific writing and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting to external audiences and educating customers or clinicians.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and complete projects efficiently.
- Background in wound care, antimicrobial products, medical devices, or life sciences commercialization is a plus.
- Experience with competitive product positioning, webinars, conference presentations, or trade show participation is desirable.
- Familiarity with regulatory, clinical, or quality-driven environments is advantageous.
