Summary:

Seeking a motivated laboratory professional for a contract-based position focused on supporting research programs through hands-on experimental work in molecular and cellular biology. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic scientific environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance, expansion, and banking of mammalian cell lines, ensuring high-quality cell-based assay execution.
  • Perform molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR, and Western Blotting, for protein and nucleic acid analysis.
  • Design and execute multi-color flow cytometry experiments, including sample preparation and preliminary data analysis.
  • Support laboratory operations by preparing buffers, managing reagent inventory, and maintaining an electronic laboratory notebook.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of experimental data to facilitate project progress and team collaboration.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot experimental issues and optimize protocols as needed.
  • Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss research findings and contribute to project planning.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on wet-lab experience; industry experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in cell culture, PCR, Western Blotting, and flow cytometry techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in experimental execution and data recording.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills for sharing data and contributing to group discussions.
  • Experience with electronic laboratory notebooks and general lab support tasks.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
