Summary:

Seeking an experienced engineering professional to oversee and optimize facility systems, infrastructure reliability, and regulatory compliance. The role involves leading projects, implementing technical solutions, and supporting operational excellence in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, operation, and maintenance of critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and utilities.
  • Lead facility engineering projects from initial concept through completion, managing scope, budget, schedule, and vendor coordination.
  • Drive initiatives to improve infrastructure reliability, energy efficiency, and sustainability across facility operations.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments to support safe and effective implementation of new systems and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering challenges with minimal supervision, ensuring continuous facility operations.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and contractors, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support facility and operational growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in regulated environments (such as FDA, cGMP, or Joint Commission) strongly preferred.
  • Background in healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments is a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressed air, power distribution, and clean utilities.
  • Familiarity with building codes and standards such as NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, and OSHA regulations.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including budgeting, vendor management, and construction oversight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, CMMS, and building management systems (BMS) is highly desirable.
