Job Title: HPLC Analyst I

Work Location: Durham County, NC

Summary:

Seeking an HPLC Analyst I to support laboratory operations through sample analysis, instrument maintenance, and data management. This role requires expertise in HPLC and IC instrumentation, with a focus on accurate data reporting and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quantitative analysis of samples using HPLC and IC instrumentation, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Prepare and summarize analytical data for inclusion in technical reports and documentation.
  • Perform sample and standard preparation, maintaining strict adherence to laboratory protocols.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments, including troubleshooting and routine upkeep.
  • Maintain organized records of sample preparation, analysis, equipment maintenance, and off-site data collection.
  • Participate in field work assignments, which may require overnight travel and occasional split shifts or weekend duties.
  • Follow laboratory quality assurance procedures and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and training requirements.
  • Communicate relevant updates and findings to appropriate personnel in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with HPLC systems (Thermo Vanquish, Agilent 1100 series preferred).
  • Experience with IC instrumentation (Thermo preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping and data management.
  • Ability to perform instrument calibration and maintenance.
  • Willingness to travel for field work and work occasional split shifts or weekends as needed.
  • Commitment to laboratory safety practices and compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills for timely updates and reporting.
  • Ability to start as soon as possible.
