Summary:

Seeking a Facilities Tech II/Warehouse Associate II to support operations by performing maintenance, warehouse, and facilities tasks, with a focus on cold storage environments. This role involves equipment upkeep, inventory management, and collaboration with various teams to ensure smooth facility operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute inbound and outbound shipments, equipment transports, and client deliveries, ensuring accurate documentation and workflow.
  • Monitor, record, and analyze facility and equipment temperatures, addressing deviations and initiating service requests as needed.
  • Respond to alarms, breakdowns, and emergencies, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions or escalating issues.
  • Assist with inventory transfers, product movement, and detailed location tracking, maintaining accurate records and supporting operational needs.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, supporting facility and equipment reliability.
  • Participate in safety and hazardous material training, adhering to OSHA and safe work practices during all tasks and repairs.
  • Support building, infrastructure, and equipment improvements or repairs, collaborating with team members and other departments as required.
  • Contribute to on-call rotation for after-hours or weekend facility and equipment issues, and assist in training new personnel on procedures and safety.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; technical degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance, warehouse, or logistics environments.
  • Experience with warehouse, inventory, or logistics operations.
  • Proven ability to perform procedural work routines and operate specialized warehouse equipment (forklift, reach truck, pallet jacks, scissor lift).
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive, organized, and able to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients and vendors.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/move for extended periods.
  • Experience in handling and safety of biohazardous materials preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience in biorepository or cold chain environments highly desirable.
  • Intermediate maintenance, construction, or facilities experience required.
  • Punctual, dependable, and trustworthy; experience working in a team environment.
