Work Location: Maricopa County, Arizona

Summary:

Seeking a Vascular Surgeon to serve as Principal Investigator for clinical research trials, providing leadership in vascular medicine studies while maintaining clinical practice. No prior research experience is required, as comprehensive training and research staff support are provided.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee vascular surgery and interventional clinical trials as Principal Investigator for Phase 2-4 studies.
• Supervise patient enrollment, safety monitoring, and ensure protocol compliance throughout the study duration.
• Review and approve study-related medical decisions, treatment plans, and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.
• Identify, screen, and enroll eligible patients into clinical trials, conducting required assessments and follow-up visits.
• Monitor patient safety, report adverse events, and provide or supervise medical care related to study participation.
• Review and sign informed consent documents, complete case report forms, and maintain accurate source documentation.
• Participate in regulatory inspections, sponsor monitoring visits, and maintain Good Clinical Practice (GCP) compliance.
• Collaborate with clinical research coordinators, sponsors, CROs, site management teams, and communicate with IRB/Ethics Committees as needed.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree with active, unrestricted Arizona medical license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery.
• Active hospital privileges or ability to obtain privileges.
• Experience in internal medicine and vascular surgery preferred.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and protocol compliance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to participate in clinical research with provided training and support.
• Ability to work approximately 15 hours per month as required by the study schedule.
