Summary:
Seeking a skilled Mechanical Quality Inspector to perform inspections and quality control for machined components, particularly in regulated environments. This role involves hands-on inspection, data analysis, and collaboration with production teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct mechanical inspections of incoming materials and finished products using metrology tools and visual measuring equipment.
- Interpret engineering blueprints and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Document and analyze quality data to verify product compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.
- Initiate and process non-conformance reports (NCRs) when quality issues are identified.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve operational or quality-related issues.
- Support cross-training and mentoring of other technicians to enhance team capabilities.
- Maintain high attention to detail, accuracy, and focus in all inspection activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical inspection, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with metrology hand tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, vision systems, etc.).
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and interpreting tolerances.
- Experience with ISO 13485 or similar quality management systems is highly desirable.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
