Job Title: Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator 1 - Women's
Work Location: Fairfax County, VA
Summary:
Seeking a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator to support women's health clinical research studies. This full-time, on-site position involves patient education, protocol implementation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, passionate about women's health, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Bilingual candidates, especially those proficient in Spanish, are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Educate study participants on medication administration, disease treatment, and study protocols to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Assess and document the physiological, educational, psychological, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
- Administer investigational medications, perform patient assessments during clinic visits, and promptly report findings to investigators.
- Carry out nursing duties relevant to credentials and research study requirements.
- Explain investigational product development processes and key regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all study activities are conducted in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable regulations.
- Facilitate effective communication among research teams and stakeholders, and support dissemination of study results.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical research operations.
Qualifications:
- BSN or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). If ADN, must enroll in a BSN program within six months of hire and complete within 24 months.
- At least 1 year of research training or protocol implementation experience.
- Current Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association); must be eligible to practice in Virginia.
- Experience in labor & delivery, C-section, or similar clinical settings is preferred.
- Research experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for women's health and serving diverse patient populations.
