Job Title: Clinical Rater

Work Location: Harris County, Texas

Summary:

Seeking an experienced Clinical Rater to support psychiatric and neurological clinical trials. This contract-to-perm position offers flexible hours and is ideal for clinicians interested in research activities.

Responsibilities:

• Administer a variety of validated psychiatric and cognitive rating scales to clinical trial participants.
• Conduct structured clinical interviews to assess participant eligibility and progress.
• Ensure accurate and consistent scoring of rating scales in line with protocol requirements.
• Maintain compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and site-specific standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with site staff to schedule and manage participant visits efficiently.
• Document all assessments and findings in accordance with regulatory and protocol standards.
• Collaborate with principal investigators and coordinators to support study objectives.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain inter-rater reliability and up-to-date knowledge of rating scales.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or a related clinical field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience administering psychiatric rating scales in a clinical trial setting.
• Familiarity with Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining inter-rater reliability standards.
• Experience with rating scales such as MADRS, HDRS, PANSS, CGI, MMSE, or similar tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work part-time or full-time depending on credentials (NP/PA preferred for full-time).
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a clinical research team.
