Job Title: Research Associate II, In Vivo

Work Location: Middlesex County, Massachusetts

Summary:

Seeking a skilled Research Associate II to support in vivo studies involving rodent models. This contract role requires expertise in animal handling, dosing, sample collection, and flow cytometry, as well as strong organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute in vivo rodent studies, including animal care, dosing (IV, SC, IP), blood collection, and clinical observations.
  • Conduct flow cytometry experiments and analyze data using specialized software.
  • Harvest and process biological samples, ensuring proper organization and preservation for downstream analysis.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of rodent colonies.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of experimental data in laboratory information systems.
  • Prepare for studies by organizing materials and ensuring readiness for experimental procedures.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and regulatory protocols for animal welfare and laboratory practices.
  • Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment, contributing to innovative research projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Pharmacology, Animal Science, or related Life Sciences field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in in vivo biology within industry or academic settings.
  • Hands-on experience with rodent models and routine dosing techniques (IV, SC, IP).
  • Experience with flow cytometry and data analysis.
  • Proficient in tissue collection, sample processing, and laboratory record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary, fast-paced environment.
