Job Title: Senior Associate Scientist, Biology

Summary:
Seeking a motivated scientist with expertise in cell-based screening assays to support the characterization of novel peptides and contribute to the development of new drug modalities for cancer and other diseases. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrate strong technical and analytical skills, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute cell-based screening assays to assess peptide activity and mechanisms in both 2D and 3D cellular models.
- Utilize a range of assay technologies, including CETSA, AlphaLISA, HTRF, HiBiT, cell proliferation, qPCR, ELISA/MSD, Co-IP, and western blot.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures and results in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, preparing clear presentations for team discussions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance program objectives and share scientific insights.
- Optimize and troubleshoot cellular assays and mammalian cell culture protocols as needed.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, reproducibility, and documentation throughout all research activities.
- Contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment by supporting colleagues and adapting to evolving project needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field with at least 6 years of relevant industry experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 4 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience in high-throughput cellular assay development, optimization, and quantitative data analysis.
- Expertise in advanced mammalian cell culture, including work with cancer cell lines, primary cells, and 3D organoid models.
- Strong troubleshooting and experimental optimization skills in cellular and molecular biology techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in experimental documentation and data management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
