Job Title: Project Manager

Summary:
Seeking a motivated Project Manager to oversee the design, construction, modification, and validation of physical facilities and equipment. This role requires hands-on involvement, flexibility, creativity, and initiative as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineering projects, including capital planning, design, implementation, validation, and reporting, ensuring alignment with departmental budgets and project priorities.
- Ensure compliance with safety programs, environmental, health, and site requirements, and maintain adherence to engineering standards and regulations.
- Develop and monitor long-range plans for engineering capital and production targets, and oversee annual departmental budgets.
- Implement best practices and manufacturing excellence concepts to improve engineering and production performance, utilizing key performance indicators for continuous improvement.
- Support the growth and development of engineering personnel through coaching, technical training, and skill development plans, ensuring team proficiency and qualification.
- Apply technical and managerial expertise to support plant expansions, incident analysis, new program implementation, and special projects.
- Foster effective working relationships between project engineering and other site groups, ensuring seamless integration and customer satisfaction through communication and feedback.
- Maintain high-quality engineering documentation, ensuring all records are current, complete, and reflect plant policies, standards, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in an FDA-regulated facility, with at least 4 years in production or project engineering management roles.
- Experience leading multiple direct reports, preferably technical professionals.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows-based programs and computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with co-workers, vendors, contractors, and business contacts.
- Commitment to safe and efficient operations and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Experience working in cGMP environments preferred.
- Background in the chemical, food, or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
