Summary:
Seeking a versatile scientist with expertise in protein sciences and bioconjugation who can balance hands-on laboratory work with project management responsibilities. This role involves managing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and contributing directly to experimental work, serving as a key link between scientific execution and program delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and monitor project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies using project management tools.
- Act as a primary scientific contact, ensuring effective communication of project status, risks, and decisions across teams.
- Perform hands-on laboratory work in protein purification, conjugation, and bioanalytical characterization.
- Utilize enzymology expertise to guide conjugation strategies, optimize reactions, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Prepare and deliver data summaries, project updates, and scientific presentations to internal stakeholders.
- Support laboratory operations, including maintaining SOPs, overseeing equipment, and managing inventory.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure alignment and progress toward project goals.
- Contribute to administrative support and lab management to facilitate smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
- PhD in biochemistry, chemical biology, protein science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of industry experience (postdoctoral or direct industry experience accepted).
- Demonstrated project management skills, with experience using SmartSheet or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in protein purification, conjugation chemistry, and relevant bioanalytical techniques.
- Strong background in enzymology is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating scientific details into clear program updates.
- Collaborative and accountable, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
- Title and compensation will be based on experience; candidates may be considered for Project Manager/Scientist or Senior Project Manager/Scientist roles depending on qualifications.
