Job Title: Compression Operator

Work Location: Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Summary:

Seeking a Compression Operator to support oral solid and liquid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing, including tablet production, by operating and maintaining process equipment and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain pharmaceutical process equipment such as tablet presses, metal detectors, dedusters, and related machinery.
  • Conduct in-process testing, sampling, and inspections according to batch record requirements, including tablet thickness, hardness, and visual checks.
  • Adjust machinery during startup and throughout production to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
  • Monitor and verify operational results against specified parameters as outlined in batch records.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and manufacturing areas, including walls, floors, and ceilings, following current standard operating procedures.
  • Accurately complete equipment logs and ensure proper documentation of all activities in compliance with batch records and SOPs.
  • Identify and report quality issues, accidents, unsafe conditions, or unusual circumstances to supervisors and consult with quality assurance personnel as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with cGMP, FDA regulations, and data integrity guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, equivalent, or technical school certificate.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient math skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend SOPs, batch records, and training materials.
  • Effective multi-tasking and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with various functional groups.
  • Physically able to stand for 8-hour shifts and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of wearing all required personal protective equipment.
