Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Summary:
This full-time Manufacturing Engineer position focuses on optimizing and overseeing manufacturing processes, applying engineering principles to production, and supporting precision machining operations. The role involves working closely with various teams to improve efficiency, maintain quality standards, and address technical challenges in manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production and adherence to quality standards.
- Apply engineering principles to resolve technical challenges and improve manufacturing activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance process efficiency and workflow.
- Oversee precision machining operations, including CNC tool grinding and gun-drilling processes.
- Implement and optimize multi-axis grinding machine setups and programming.
- Ensure the manufacture of high-precision components with tight tolerances for specialized applications.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software and CNC programming to support production needs.
- Maintain process control, inspection methods, and documentation for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in CNC tool grinding, including setup, programming, and optimization of multi-axis grinding machines (e.g., Walter, ANCA, Rollomatic, or similar).
- Extensive experience with CNC gun-drilling processes, deep hole drilling techniques, tooling selection, coolant systems, and process optimization.
- Proven ability to manufacture high-precision components with tight tolerances, especially for medical or aerospace applications.
- Strong understanding of cutting tool geometry, carbide tooling, and materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and Nitinol.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming (G-code or conversational programming).
- Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methods.
- Familiarity with grinding wheel selection, dressing, and process control for precision tool manufacturing.
- Proficiency in manufacturing processes, industrial engineering, and mechanical engineering principles.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing is a plus.
