Job Title: Material Handler

Work Location: Middlesex County, Massachusetts

Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and distribution of materials and equipment, supporting inventory and warehouse operations, and ensuring compliance with safety and cGMP standards.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming packages and materials, logging all receipts in relevant management systems.
• Tag and track chemical receipts using the Chemical Handling System, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
• Transport and deliver materials and equipment to designated warehouse, laboratory, or point-of-use locations.
• Support inventory management, including cycle counting and cross-training in warehouse operations as needed.
• Handle outgoing shipments and coordinate with internal teams for timely dispatch of materials.
• Maintain daily logs, generate operational reports, and contribute to department metrics and KPIs.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and cGMP training requirements, practicing compliant material handling at all times.
• Demonstrate flexibility by supporting various logistics and supply chain activities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to lift up to 51 lbs in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
• Experience with OSHA/DOT regulations is desired.
• Previous experience in a receiving or material handling role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task, set daily priorities, and perform detail-oriented work.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and related software is desired.
• Competencies: Organized, team player, flexible, priority-driven, and able to multi-task.
