Executive Director of Oncology Research
Primary Responsibilities

Program Strategy: Design and execute patient-centric research programs focused on oncology and immunotherapy, leading the development of novel therapeutic agents.

Scientific Communication: Analyze experimental results and deliver high-level reports and presentations to translate complex findings for scientific teams and executive leadership.

Operational Oversight: Manage a diverse portfolio of oncology research projects and provide mentorship and oversight to project-leading scientists.

External Partnerships: Identify and lead strategic scientific collaborations with external academic institutions, clinical researchers, and industry partners.

Strategic Advisory: Lead internal and external scientific discussions, providing expert insights to influence therapeutic development and clinical strategy.

Clinical Integration: Apply real-time research data to clinical contexts, collaborating with patient care teams to ensure research aligns with personalized treatment journeys.

Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years leading scientific research teams, with a strong preference for candidates with established industry experience in drug development.

Education: Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. in Immunology, Oncology, Molecular Biology, or a related life sciences discipline.

Subject Matter Expertise: Extensive background in immuno-oncology, cancer biology, multi-omics analysis, and the application of bioinformatics in a research setting.

Programmatic Leadership: Proven track record of designing and driving strategic, large-scale oncology research initiatives from inception to execution.

Technical Literacy: Expert knowledge of immunological techniques and laboratory methodologies such as flow cytometry, PCR, cell culture, and immunohistochemistry.
