Job Title: Biomedical Technician 

Work Location: Lubbock County, Texas

Summary:

The BMET II role involves performing maintenance, repair, calibration, and inspection of a wide range of biomedical equipment and systems. This position requires technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality service and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect various therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and electrical safety testing on medical devices and systems regularly.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment and system malfunctions efficiently.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and maintain professional conduct at all times.
• Accurately complete required documentation for equipment inspections, repairs, and failures in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, manufacturers, and internal personnel regarding equipment and service issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and government regulations.
• Provide technical assistance and instruction on equipment operation and maintenance to staff, and assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician.
• Associate Degree in Biomedical Technology or a related field.
• CBET certification preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50% (preferred).
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to maintaining productivity and meeting billing requirements.
• Ability to work an 8-hour shift schedule.
• Professionalism and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
