Imaging Equipment Specialist - Lincoln County, Nebraska

Summary:
Seeking an Imaging Equipment Specialist to provide expert-level troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of diagnostic imaging equipment at a hospital facility. This role requires hands-on technical skills, strong documentation practices, and effective communication with clinical staff and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting and electrical/mechanical repairs on a variety of imaging equipment, including CT, MRI, X-Ray, C-arms, and Fluoroscopy systems.
- Utilize standard test equipment such as multimeters, X-ray meters, oscilloscopes, dosimeters, and service software for installations, calibrations, and planned maintenance.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accrediting agencies.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and internal teams to address equipment issues and provide technical support.
- Mentor and support less experienced technicians, fostering teamwork and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in after-hours service, emergency calls, and on-call rotations as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in imaging equipment repair and maintenance, including use of diagnostic test equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Google software applications (Word, Excel, Gmail, etc.).
- Ability to interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with preventative maintenance and repair documentation for diagnostic imaging systems.
- Understanding of clinical applications and image quality requirements for imaging equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or technical certification preferred.
- CBET, CRES, or OEM training preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance for medical equipment management (TJC, DNV, CAP, DOH).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds routinely and occasionally up to 100 pounds; able to push/pull over 100 pounds as needed.
- Demonstrated accountability, customer service orientation, and ability to prioritize workload.
- Completion of required safety training and adherence to safety protocols.
- Availability for full-time work, overtime, and participation in on-call schedule.
