Summary:
Seeking a dynamic Product Growth Leader to drive the expansion and optimization of research software products within the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. This role is responsible for building new products from the ground up, refining customer features, and implementing data-driven strategies to increase user acquisition, retention, and revenue. The ideal candidate will bridge technical and scientific domains, leveraging analytics and market insights to deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute product strategies to expand market presence and drive subscription growth in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering and analytics, to deliver impactful growth features and optimize user experience.
- Continuously refine pricing models and test hypotheses through customer interviews and data analysis.
- Analyze customer journeys to identify pain points and implement solutions that enhance conversion and retention.
- Utilize data analytics and experimentation to uncover growth opportunities and define success metrics.
- Apply product management frameworks to clarify objectives, mediate diverse viewpoints, and drive product engagement in ambiguous settings.
- Conduct research and usability testing to inform strategies that reduce friction and improve key steps in the customer journey.
- Collaborate with technical and scientific stakeholders to identify unmet needs in drug development and design intuitive software experiences for complex biological data.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of product management experience, including 2-3 years in a growth-focused role within health-tech, biotech, or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to penetrate new markets and drive subscriber growth and retention.
- Proficiency in data analytics, A/B testing, experimentation, and funnel optimization.
- Experience developing pricing and packaging strategies for biotech/pharma software products.
- Technical background sufficient to manage engineering teams and scope growth-related features.
- Familiarity with product management frameworks and user experience best practices, including user research and usability testing.
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Startup-ready mindset: resourceful, experimental, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Academic background in a quantitative, technical, or scientific field (e.g., science, economics, engineering, applied math, computer science) preferred.
- Experience with AI product development, including features using LLMs, agents, or automation, is a plus.
- Strong product sense for conversational and mobile user flows, with the ability to review copy and edge cases.
- Comfortable with hypothesis-driven experimentation, statistical analysis, and tradeoff evaluation.
