Job Title: Biorepository Supervisor

Work Location: Middlesex County, New Jersey

Summary:

Oversee daily operations and personnel within a biorepository environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and efficient management of biological samples and client interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of sample technicians, including scheduling and workflow management.
• Manage client communications and coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing biological samples.
• Oversee the accurate documentation and tracking of samples, ensuring compliance with GDP and GMP requirements.
• Act as a hands-on supervisor, participating in receiving, shipping, and packing of samples and products.
• Maintain inventory records and capacity reports in collaboration with facilities teams.
• Ensure staff adherence to standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Support quality initiatives, including assisting with third-party audits and collaborating with quality teams.
• Implement policies related to staff performance, including recruitment, discipline, and performance reviews.

Qualifications:

• BA degree in a scientific discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in a biorepository environment and/or GMP pharmaceutical or biological operations.
• At least 5 years of experience leading and mentoring teams.
• Strong understanding of people management, training, and sample data management.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Direct experience working with customers.
• Ability to perform procedural and hands-on operational work.
