Job Title: Production Technician (Seasonal)
Work Location: Barnstable County, Massachusetts
Summary:
Responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the processing and handling of biological materials in a production environment, with a focus on maintaining quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive biological materials from transport vehicles, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Conduct initial processing procedures, including bleeding and centrifugation, following established protocols.
- Clean, wash, and prepare all glassware and equipment used in processing activities.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of production materials and glassware for daily operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all processing and production areas to meet safety and quality standards.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment when handling chemicals and biological materials.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of production goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff to support production operations.
Qualifications:
- English language proficiency required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of 3 years of high school education required; 1 year of college preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and maintain accountability and punctuality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain an efficient workspace and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to accuracy, quality, and compliance with established procedures and quality systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, respect diverse perspectives, and contribute to team objectives.
- Physical ability to frequently use hands, reach, climb, balance, talk, hear, and occasionally taste or smell; ability to work in environments with moderate noise, exposure to chemicals, and varying weather conditions.
