Job Title: Production Control Coordinator
Work Location: Middlesex County, Massachusetts
Summary:
The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of work and materials within and between departments, supporting production schedules, and maintaining accurate records of progress, inventory, and production issues.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and expedite workflow between departments to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules to relevant teams.
- Communicate with department leads to monitor work progress and determine completion dates.
- Compile and maintain reports on work progress, inventory levels, and production challenges.
- Manage and prioritize jobs and material transactions on the manufacturing floor and in specialized rooms.
- Track and follow up on non-conforming material issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and planning personnel to address material status and production planning concerns.
- Adapt to changing priorities and perform additional duties as assigned to support production objectives.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of experience in a production environment; production control experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems; experience with Oracle is a plus.
- Background in expediting, quality/continuous improvement, manufacturing safety, and MS Office applications.
- Experience in lean manufacturing environments is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, and capable of multitasking.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Awareness of workplace hazards and adherence to safety standards set by regulatory agencies.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions typical of a manufacturing setting.
