Job Title: Health Sciences Librarian
Work Location: Remote-Part time 20/hrs a week
Summary:
The Health Sciences Librarian will utilize advanced search skills and specialized tools to provide reference and information services related to health, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry. This role supports various teams by delivering curated literature and resolving technical and copyright issues, ensuring access to critical published information.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive literature searches and provide bibliographic services to support research, development, marketing, and regulatory activities.
- Curate, prepare, and distribute a monthly literature update to relevant teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to subscription access and search processes.
- Respond to inquiries regarding copyright and publication rights.
- Identify and obtain hard-to-access publications as requested.
- Support information needs for clinical development, program management, and business development initiatives.
- Utilize corporate communication platforms to deliver information and updates.
- Maintain meticulous records and ensure accuracy in all information services provided.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in information or library science, preferably in a healthcare or pharmaceutical environment.
- Ability to work up to 20 hours per week during standard business hours.
- Proficiency in developing and executing searches in PubMed, Medline, Embase, and Scopus.
- Experience providing reference services and supporting end users.
- Familiarity with corporate communication tools and platforms.
- Knowledge of RightFind and copyright practices is advantageous.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
