Job Title: Plate Operator

Work Location: Essex County, Massachusetts

Summary:

The Plate Operator is responsible for operating production equipment, ensuring products meet quality standards, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This entry-level role involves following standard procedures, performing quality checks, and supporting production operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor production machinery, including setup and shutdown procedures, to ensure efficient workflow and product quality.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and clean room protocols, utilizing provided training materials for compliance and safety.
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot labeling, inspection, and vision systems, as well as related equipment such as printers and belts.
  • Perform regular quality inspections on products, logging results and conducting production quality tests as required.
  • Assemble and disassemble clean plate feeders and slurry dispensers, ensuring proper operation and cleanliness.
  • Bag, seal, and inventory finished products, maintaining accurate records and entering data into spreadsheets and production logs.
  • Download production data, generate reports using Excel, and ensure all documentation is up to date and accurate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and supporting additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with flexibility for overtime as needed.
  • Experience with GMP/GLP environments is preferred.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and remain standing for extended periods while operating machinery.
  • Visual acuity to inspect products for quality deviations.
  • Manual dexterity for loading raw materials and operating production equipment.
  • Comfort working in a clean room environment and following strict cleanliness protocols.
