Job Title: Psychometric Rater
Work Location: Montgomery County, Maryland
Summary:
The Psychometric Rater is responsible for administering and scoring psychological assessments for clinical trials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality. This role involves supporting patient screening, maintaining data integrity, and collaborating with clinical teams to uphold high standards in mental health research.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and accurately score psychological assessments using established guidelines and standardized procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and quality assurance activities to maintain scoring reliability and stay current with protocols.
- Enter scored data into databases, ensuring accurate and organized record-keeping of all assessments.
- Collaborate with team members to address questions, provide feedback, and improve scoring processes as needed.
- Strictly adhere to ethical guidelines, protocols, and confidentiality requirements in all assessment and documentation activities.
- Adapt to changes in assessment materials or procedures, demonstrating flexibility in handling various types of assessments.
- Assist in patient recruitment and pre-screening by collecting demographic, medical, psychiatric, and medication histories to determine clinical trial eligibility.
- Support the execution of clinical trial protocols under the direction of research leadership, maintaining compliance with regulatory and workplace standards.
Qualifications:
- Master's and/or PhD/PsyD in psychology, MD or Foreign MD, or Nursing/NP in Mental Health required.
- 1+ years of clinical experience or clinical trial experience in mental health.
- 1+ years of experience administering the MINI and SCID assessments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in scoring.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong history of collecting psychiatric medications, duration, and indications (highly preferred).
- 2+ years clinical trial experience (highly preferred).
- 2+ years clinical experience in mental health (highly preferred).
- Successful rater qualification on prior sponsored trials (highly preferred).
- Experience administering the C-SSRS, CGI-S, MGH-ATRQ, MADRS, HAM-A (highly preferred).
