Job Title: Scientist - Discovery Immunology (Contractor)

Summary:
Seeking a driven and experienced Scientist to join a research team focused on developing next-generation antibody-targeted siRNA/ASO therapeutics for chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. This role offers the opportunity to make significant scientific contributions in a dynamic environment, with high visibility and impact on strategic direction.
Responsibilities:
- Design, establish, and execute immunological assays, including cell culture, functional assays, and flow cytometry, to support hit-to-lead and lead optimization efforts.
- Participate in tissue collection and perform downstream cell-based assays to characterize therapeutic candidates.
- Generate, analyze, and communicate high-quality, well-documented experimental data to inform real-time project decisions.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and ensure data integrity throughout all research activities.
- Proactively communicate project progress, anticipate challenges, and recommend resource allocation as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to advance research objectives and project milestones.
- Contribute to the characterization of new conjugated therapeutics, elucidation of mechanisms of action, and proof-of-concept studies.
- Demonstrate adaptability and initiative in a fast-paced, team-oriented research environment.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline, or MS with 4+ years of relevant experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical settings.
- Extensive hands-on experience with immunological techniques, including immune cell isolation, flow cytometry, and T/B/myeloid cell functional assays (e.g., Th1/Th2 T cell assays, ELISA).
- Proficiency in nucleic acid biology and manipulation, including reporter assays, ASO or siRNA approaches, and qRT-PCR.
- Strong problem-solving skills, scientific curiosity, and a goal-oriented mindset with high accountability and initiative.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work productively in dynamic, cross-functional teams, both internally and externally.
