Responsibilities:
- Support the design and development of facility layouts and technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements and specifications are met for facility and equipment design.
- Apply knowledge of design for manufacturability and lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize project outcomes.
- Interpret and utilize technical drawings, schematics, and documentation to guide project execution and problem-solving.
- Gather, organize, and analyze project data to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders through written reports, presentations, and meetings.
- Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in facility design, documentation, and project management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training in Science, Engineering, Technology, or Math.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience using design software.
- Proficiency in CAD and ability to visually communicate concepts with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
- Advanced skills in documentation, organization, and basic computer functions (word processing, spreadsheets, internet).
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present information to various audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, multitask, and adapt to change.
- Focus and action-oriented, with the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Interest in building design and willingness to specialize in pharmaceutical facilities design.
