Summary:

Seeking a Project Engineer I with a strong background in CAD, facility design, and engineering principles. This role involves supporting the design and development of specialized facilities, with a focus on pharmaceutical environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and development of facility layouts and technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements and specifications are met for facility and equipment design.
  • Apply knowledge of design for manufacturability and lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize project outcomes.
  • Interpret and utilize technical drawings, schematics, and documentation to guide project execution and problem-solving.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze project data to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders through written reports, presentations, and meetings.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in facility design, documentation, and project management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training in Science, Engineering, Technology, or Math.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience using design software.
  • Proficiency in CAD and ability to visually communicate concepts with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturability and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Advanced skills in documentation, organization, and basic computer functions (word processing, spreadsheets, internet).
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present information to various audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, multitask, and adapt to change.
  • Focus and action-oriented, with the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Interest in building design and willingness to specialize in pharmaceutical facilities design.
