Key Responsibilities
- Execute assigned tasks and work orders accurately and on schedule, in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMP requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) on facility and utility systems, including but not limited to air handlers, exhaust systems, electric heaters, electric boilers, chillers, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, compressed gas filter housings, lighting, building management systems (BMS), access controls, and pest control systems.
- Apply basic trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC to support facility maintenance, repairs, and minor installations.
- Safely change and handle high-pressure process gas cylinders, ensuring compliance with applicable safety procedures, gas handling protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies (e.g., lockout/tagout, working at heights).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all maintenance activities within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Provide routine status updates and proactively communicate task progress, risks, and scheduling needs to the Facilities Manager.
- Ability to be on call to provide off-hours emergency maintenance coverage.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Hands-on experience performing maintenance on facility and utility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Basic working knowledge of critical utilities, such as reverse osmosis (RO) systems, electric boilers, and compressed gas systems.
- Experience safely handling and changing high-pressure gas cylinders, with an understanding of applicable safety protocols.
- Familiarity with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) practices, including lockout/tagout and safe work procedures.
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for work order management and documentation.
- Strong communication, customer service skills, positive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and appropriately escalate issues.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Must be able to gown into a Grade B, C and D environment. (ISO 7/8)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted and heavier loads with assistance or mechanical aids.
- Ability to work in mechanical spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions.
- 2+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical maintenance or other regulated environment, with a working knowledge of cGMP requirements and FDA compliance expectations.
- Completion of technical high school or accredited two-year program
- BMRAM (Blue Mountain) CMMS experience.
