Job Title: Packaging Supervisor
Work Location: Wake County, North Carolina
Summary:
The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for managing packaging operations in a pharmaceutical production setting, ensuring compliance with industry standards, training staff, and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate packaging operations to achieve production targets and maintain quality standards.
- Ensure all packaging activities comply with regulatory requirements and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Prepare and review documentation related to packaging processes and support change control initiatives.
- Train, mentor, and develop packaging personnel, including overseeing training on new and existing equipment and processes.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to improve packaging processes.
- Coordinate and participate in validation activities and engineering studies related to packaging operations.
- Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to enhance compliance and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety standards, reporting incidents, and participating in cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Life Sciences or Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a packaging environment.
- Six-Sigma Greenbelt or Lean Certification preferred.
- Experience with SAP Transaction Management preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to large groups.
- Strong interpersonal skills and mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime or off-shift as needed.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, operate material handling equipment, and work in an aseptic, controlled environment.
- Advanced desktop computer skills and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices required.
- Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures, complete paperwork, and perform basic math.
