Summary:
Seeking a driven and experienced Academic Marketing Specialist to advance scientific engagement and evidence-based marketing strategies within the medical aesthetics sector. This role focuses on building relationships with key opinion leaders, developing impactful educational content, and supporting product launches to enhance brand credibility and market presence.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders, including dermatologists and plastic surgeons, and manage advisory boards and speaker programs.
- Plan and execute scientific presentations, clinical seminars, webinars, and workshops, while representing the organization at major industry events.
- Create, review, and adapt scientific marketing materials, clinical brochures, and presentations, translating complex data into compelling marketing content.
- Collaborate with marketing and clinical teams to develop and implement evidence-based campaigns supporting new product launches in the medical aesthetics field.
- Deliver scientific and clinical training to internal sales teams, ensuring effective communication of product benefits and clinical advantages.
- Monitor competitive scientific landscapes and emerging trends in aesthetics to provide strategic insights for business decisions.
- Support the execution of clinical marketing initiatives and contribute to the development of market adoption strategies.
- Facilitate peer-to-peer engagement and maintain strong professional networks within the medical aesthetics community.
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience in scientific marketing, medical affairs, clinical marketing, or Medical Science Liaison roles.
- Direct experience in medical aesthetics (devices, fillers, neurotoxins, etc.) is required.
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biology, or related field preferred.
- Strong ability to interpret clinical data and translate it into effective marketing strategies.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with key opinion leaders.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
