Job Title: Manufacturing Tech II
Work Location: Middlesex County, Massachusetts
Summary:
This position is responsible for executing manufacturing activities and procedures for fiber and film-based textile products, following established protocols and receiving guidance on new tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures, including SOPs, batch records, and manufacturing directions.
- Perform tasks such as cutting, slitting, extrusion, and packaging of woven and non-woven textile products.
- Conduct scheduled cleaning and sterilization of manufacturing equipment to maintain compliance.
- Support changeover activities and assist with process adjustments as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the manufacturing process to ensure smooth operations.
- Accurately record data in batch records, log books, and other required documentation.
- Review and verify logbooks and forms for accuracy and completeness.
- Document all work activities according to Good Documentation Practices and report deviations or nonconformance to management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of related experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours to complete assigned tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to gown and access biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing areas, and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Physical ability to lift, pull, or push equipment weighing up to 25-50 lbs and stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours) in a production suite.
- Capability to climb ladders and work on elevated platforms.
- Comfort working around chemicals such as alcohols, acids, and bases.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing is a plus.
- Familiarity with clean room environments or aseptic techniques preferred.
- Experience with commercial-scale automated equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform computerized transactions and maintain spreadsheets is beneficial.
