Physician - Dermatologist

Job Title: Physician - Dermatologist

Work Location: Santa Clara County, California

Summary:

Seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Dermatologist to serve as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator for clinical trials. This is a part-time, contract role (1099) averaging 10-15 hours per week, with no set end date. Candidates should be open to conducting study procedures at their own practice and must hold a valid state license. Compensation ranges from $150-$250 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support clinical trials as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator across multiple study phases.
  • Conduct physical exams and clinical assessments for participant screening and enrollment.
  • Determine patient eligibility based on clinical protocol criteria.
  • Oversee participant safety, assess adverse events, and provide ongoing medical care during studies.
  • Collaborate with research staff and external partners to ensure protocol adherence and data quality.
  • Review and approve clinical trial documentation, including source documents and regulatory forms.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory and sponsor requirements.
  • Participate in site visits, monitoring, and audits as required by study protocols.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in California.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology; Family Medicine or Geriatric Medicine also considered.
  • Current or willingness to obtain Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical practice experience; clinical research experience preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with FDA, ICH-GCP, and clinical trial protocols.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and clinical trial management systems preferred.
  • DEA license preferred.
